The Couple: Kirstyn & Caleb

Wedding Date: June 7, 2013

Photography by Unforgettable Portraits

Tell us a little about you and your beloved: We had gone to the same high school but Caleb was 2 classes ahead of me. Our entire relationship and engagement was long distance while he attended the Air Force Academy in Colorado, which made planning our wedding quite the adventure! We had a non-traditional proposal and a traditional military wedding!

What was the most amazing part of your day? Caleb says it was watching me walk down the aisle to him. I loved walking through the saber arch at the end of our ceremony, having the saber come down in front of us, getting a swat on the butt with one of the sabers and hearing “welcome to the air force ma’am”

What else would you like to share about your big day? Caleb’s father marrying us. He’s married all of his kids which is pretty special! We also had a military wedding, which our guests seemed to love the little traditions.
