Britania was so excited to part of our Cover Model Contest – and we were equally excited to be working with her! She was eager to try on different dresses and jewelry, and pose for the camera, and ended the day with an adrenaline rush from all the excitement. Lucky for her, because we were exhausted!

Read on to hear about Britania’s love story and more from her Cover Model experience!

About Her

Britania is quite the busy bee. Currently juggling school, volunteering for research at a hospital and working as an administrator for her husband’s company and at a chiropractor’s office. When she’s not working, she can be found organizing anything and everything, crafting, hiking, lifting weights and reading romantic fantasy novels.

Her Love Story

Britania met her now husband, Joe, at a mutual friend’s birthday party. Britania did not give the meeting much thought, but Joe was very persistent. His persistence paid off and the two ended up dating and moving in together. After a few years, however, the relationship got rocky, so Britania and her dog moved out. Her poor pup took the break up pretty hard and even became depressed. After a short break, Britania and Joe began dating again. Her dog became happy again, but only wanted to go on walks if both Joe and Britania were present. Clearly, he liked the couple best as a unit. Britania credits her pup with figuring out that Joe was “the one.” With things back on track and serious, a proposal was inevitable. Britania has always admired her grandparents love story, and when her grandmother became ill, she knew she would not make it to see Britania get married. Joe, who was well aware of Britania’s connection with her grandparents, wanted to make sure her grandma was at least present for the proposal. So, with the help of Britania’s grandfather, Joe coordinated a large Christmas celebration at her grandparent’s house. After everyone had opened their gifts, there was still one glittering gold box remaining for Britania. Within the box was a stained red and green glass framed in white that read, “Marry Me?” lit up with Christmas lights. Britania turned to Joe who was on one knee. The emotional moment had a slight comedic break when Joe slipped the size 11 ring onto Britania’s petite finger. Joe blames Britania’s sister for the slight discrepancy.

Their Wedding Day

Britania and Joe wed in Paradise Springs Mountain in a rustic-style wedding. There was plenty of burlap, lace and wild flowers. One of Britania’s favorite moments was when her pup made herself comfortable on the train of her dress during the ceremony. Britania felt a slight tug on her dress and turned to see the pup nestled into the train. Her absolute favorite moment, however, was when she finally got to kiss her husband. The anticipation was exciting, and the moment was exhilarating.

Why She Entered the Contest

We (Real Weddings) actually ended up sharing one of Britania’s wedding photos on our social media thanks to her amazing photographer. She saw the photo, which led her to our website where she discovered we were holding the contest. She thought it would be a fun way to carry on her recent wedding experience.

What Her Beloved Thought About the Contest

Joe also thought it would be a fun and interesting experience for Britania, and like all good husbands, was not at all surprised when she was selected as a finalist.

Her “Cover Model” Experience

Britania enjoyed the application process because it helped her relive her wedding day, which was over too quickly. The day of the shoot, she loved being able to dress up in different looks and enjoyed the rush to get to each look as quickly as possible. She left the shoot with an adrenaline rush and was very excited to call her husband, who was equally excited to hear how the day went.
