Tell us a little about you and your beloved: We met at Chico State and were together for 6 years when he proposed. Once we were settled in the Sacramento area, we visited Chico often to see friends and go fishing. On one of these visits in October, we went to our old spot at the Sacramento River in Chico and he pretended to fish, then suddenly “caught something”. It was the engagement ring on the hook, he went down on one knee and popped the question.
The wedding planning was hard! I truly believe if a couple can make it through the wedding plans and wedding they can overcome anything. It was overwhelming and frustrating at times but once everything was booked and decided on, it was wonderful to just enjoy the bachelorette/bachelor party and the bridal shower right before the wedding. The wedding day went perfectly! And, so very worth it!
What was the most amazing part of your day? We did a first look, and I loved every minute of it, there was no rushing we enjoyed seeing each other and spending time in that moment.
What else would you like to share about your big day? The lifesaver was picking a venue where it was an all inclusive type thing, I didn’t have to worry about a lot of things because it was all taken care of.

Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now? Don’t leave anything to the last minute, stay as organized and on top of things as possible (keeping in mind that there is always setbacks).
Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance? I had no appetite the day of the wedding, so I would have liked to have had a protein shake or something like it on hand the day of to keep me going.
