Ok, we know this blog series is called “5 Things to Know About” where our amazing preferred vendors get to tell us more about themselves, but we ask them about 20 questions and it’s just too fun to not include all of their answers. Yeah, we maybe should change the title, but… In this week’s post in the series, we get to know a bit more about Chris from Chris Pritchard Studios. We all know Chris from his epic photography, but is he a cat person or a dog person (hint, you can kinda tell in the opener photo!). Read on to learn more tidbits about this talented wedding photographer!
About your business:
I’m in the business of delivery wows. Showing the beauty of the world. Making people look freaking amazing, and delivering powerful emotions through the beauty of my work.
Favorite Local Restaurant:
I think I have Hispanic genes deeply engraved in me, cause that’s about all I’ll eat. My go to right now is the newly opened Cantina Pedregal in Folsom, by Michelin star chef Patrico Wise. The food is simply indescribable it’s so good. It’s a must visit place.
Favorite Local Charity:
I can’t imagine a life without my beloved dogs Kyra & Freja, both rescues, the SPCA is where we donate our time and goodies to.
Favorite thing to do locally?
Playing etch-a-sketch on my bike all around the county is my favorite thing to do locally. Being outdoors and feeling like a kid in the wind is what fuels my soul!
Favorite cocktail/mocktail?
My favorite mocktail is a Tajin-rimmed mango smoothie. Tajin is like magic fairy dust, it makes everything taste so dang good!
Favorite Self-Care Ritual?
You know how Superman recharges himself in the sun? I’m a descendant of his, I have to be in the sun, having fun and riding my bike through uncharted territory.
Living person you’d most like to meet? (celebrity, actor, musician, business person, etc)
I just want John Wick to give me an ice cream some day.
Cake or Pie person?
Apple Pie is my achilles heel. My wife doesn’t know it, but I’m may be more in love with apple pie from Ikeda’s. Shhhh.
Dog or Cat person?
Hands down, my soul mates are my two dogs.
Beach or Mountains (for vacations)?
I would do both in the same day! Growing up in Oxnard, I had that!
Show you’re streaming right now?
Show I’m streaming now, ha. “From,” why? Oh I am sucker for spooky things. It’s like if Lost and Stranger Things had a baby.
Last movie you saw?
Last movie I saw, in a theater? Napoleon, as a cinephile, I’m a sucker for a good acting performance and Joaquin is at the top of my list.
Favorite Wedding Planning Tip that you share with your couples?
I sell a great story on whether on to do an altar reveal or not. It’s quite mushy and converts all my clients to do a first look. Ask me some time!
If you weren’t in the wedding industry, what would you do?
I’d be a director of photography for the movie industry. I sure wish I didn’t miss that boat early in my career!
