Tell us a little about you and your beloved: Steven and I met, like many couples do these days, online. He was such a gentleman from date one, opening doors (yes, including the car door, even to this day), making every effort to make sure we had a good time, and never letting there be awkward silences.

Since the day we met, there was never a day we didn’t talk or text and very few days where we didn’t see each other, we just connected immediately.

Fast forward 2 1/2 years to the proposal. Steven really put every thought into the proposal, popping the question during a family vacation in Tahoe on the snow. I was so excited, I started looking at venues that night! Steven’s demands for the wedding we’re very few (and made the biggest impact on the amazingness of the wedding). Steven was such a trooper, listening to all my ideas, no matter how often they changed.

What was the most amazing part of your day? The best part of our wedding day was getting to spend it with almost everyone we cared about and have such a amazing time partying the night away.

Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now? Make as much of your decorations as you can and utilize wholesale and discount/thrift places to save money. Outdoor venues really cut down on decorations cost. Keep hard copies of all contacts and highlight important information (payment due dates and totals). If you’re not using a wedding planner (which i didn’t), at the very least, use a day off planner, you will not regret it or miss the stress!

Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance? The only thing I would have changed is I would have picked a lighter dress. Having a wedding in May, you don’t know what the weather will be and my wedding ended up being a hot one!
