Tell us a little about you and your beloved:  Scott and I met when I was in the seventh grade and he was in the eighth grade at Pleasant Valley School in our small home town of Penn Valley. We knew each other all throughout our high school days at Nevada Union High in Grass Valley. After high school, Scott and I just hit it off and fell in love. We dated for seven years before we married!
What was the most amazing part of your day?  The most amazing part of our wedding was the first look, we took pictures together two hours before our wedding. I was a little hesitant at first, wanting to keep that semi-traditional, but we both agreed it would be amazing. We would get to see each other and have our special moment in private. I would never change this moment. We cried when we looked at each other and held each other…it was all so magical. After the wedding we barely saw each other so it was very much worth it.
What else would you like to share about your big day?  We got married at the Miners Foundry in Nevada City where we had our Jr. Prom and Sr. Ball. This is a very special place for us!

Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now?  The best advice about the while day was from a close friend of mine. She told me to go into the reception room that took me a little over a year to plan, and just stand there and take it all in. She said to look at all that hard work — this is your wedding, that took all of this planning and it’s finally here. Today is your day, whatever happens now you can’t control. If something doesn’t go your way, there is nothing you can do about it now. Go with the flow.
Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance?  Our wedding was amazing and perfect. We were celebrating us and our love with all our close friends and family! It was perfect!
