Real Weddings – SF10

We are so honored with each and every issue of Real Weddings Magazine to work with some of the area’s top wedding professionals. And this issue is no exception. We are constantly inspired by these professionals’ creativity—and we hope that you are too!

Because we cannot get enough of their creativity and inspiration, between issues, we turn to them to contribute to our Real Weddings Web site and Blog. So, if you haven’t checked out realweddingsmag.com yet, now’s the time! And, for all of you techie-brides, be sure to stay tuned for our upcoming iPhone app—we’ll announce its arrival on our Blog soon!

But, back to the issue at hand. As always, we’ve packed this issue with ideas and resources meant to get your creative juices flowing and to help guide you through the planning process ahead. Starting on page 74, we present 22 awesome local real weddings. There’s just no way that we can tell these couples’ entire stories or list all of their wedding vendors in the magazine, so we put even more of their information along with additional wedding photos on our Web site, so log on now and get inspired. And while you’re on there, check out the additional six real wedding stories featured exclusively online for this issue—you can get a sneak peek of these couples on page 70.

Also in this issue you’ll find our resident travel writer-girl Jenn Thornton’s piece on wine country honeymoon locales. Our gift finder extraordinaire Melissa Camilleri Magliola tracks down some rockin’ gift ideas for everyone in your wedding party. On page 27, Sharon Penny’s For Your Review column presents some helpful wedding planning tools including some new iPhone Apps. Rebecca Black, our go-to etiquette expert, helps you navigate through some sticky situations with grace and ease. Not sure what a sand ceremony is? Rev. Jeri Murphy explains in her Ceremony column on page 42. And, of course, you cannot miss Darren Elms’ Always a Bridesmaid column on page 24 (be sure to check out Darren on our Blog—he’s a frequent contributor!).

Need some help finding your perfect wedding accoutrements? Look no further than Real Weddings Magazine’s Style Files: Your Local Wedding Planning Resource Guide from Sacramento to the Sierra. Our team has assembled fabulous photos featuring exquisite flowers, scrumptious cakes, fun favors and glamorous invitations—all from local wedding professionals—along with usable tips, helpful hints and extensive local vendor resources to help you assemble your wedding dream team.

Last, but certainly not least, we present our cover model finalist feature with this issue’s finalists Nicole, Sarah and Jillian. Each issue, we select three local brides from hundreds of entries to be our cover model finalists. These lovely ladies graciously serve as our models for our fashion feature starting on page 49. And, this issue, one of our entrants, Mandy, was hand-selected to be our model in our bridesmaid fashion feature starting on page 65. Ladies, thank you so much for all your hard work on our photo shoots. Of course, a special thanks goes out to all of the vendors who contributed to these features—we couldn’t do it without you!

Real Weddings Magazine is a labor of love for our team. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoy producing it for you! As always, I’d love to hear from you—feel free to email me at wendy(at)stylemg.com.
