My husband and I will celebrate our 11-year wedding anniversary this April. As I look back on our special day, I love how unique and special it was for us—the day was right for us. And, here at Real Weddings Magazine, we want to help you create the day that’s just right for you. Your wedding day is truly one of the most important days of your life. We’re excited to announce that we’re launching Real Weddings Magazine’s The Bride’s Guide! Debuting in early January 2012, this unique planning tool will be filled with planning pages to keep you on track, along with profiles of some of the area’s top wedding professionals. You’ll be able to get it at area bridal shows (check out our “Bridal Events Calendar” on pages 34 and 36 for events where you can get a copy) and in selected copies of our Spring 2012 issue on the newsstand in late February 2012. Or, if you want it in its digital format, you can log on to our Web site, realweddingsmag.com and download a copy for free!
Now, on to what we’ve got packed into this issue of Real Weddings Magazine…first off, check out our cover model finalist fashion layout starting on page 51. Our cover model finalists—Jessica, Missy and Crystal—were selected from hundreds of local area real brides for our photo shoot this past September at The Delta King in Old Sacramento. The über-talented Love at First Click Photography snapped these real brides as they donned some of the area’s most beautiful gowns paired with spectacular accessories and gorgeous bouquets from local floral designers. The results were nothing short of extraordinary. You can see even more photos from our shoot online at our Real Weddings Web site, realweddingsmag.com!
Looking for a little décor inspiration? Look no further than our “Modern Love” photo shoot starting on page 73. Pros Kate Miller Events and Flourish, along with help from some fabulous local area wedding vendors, rocked Helwig Vineyards & Winery in late September—and the incomparable Sarah Maren Photographers caught it all on film (well, not really film, but you get the idea!). And, of course, we scour the area for some of the most unique, inspiring and just downright fun local real weddings. In this issue, we present 25 in-print and another 10 online. The inspiration begins on page 88 with a preview of our 10 online exclusive real weddings and then, starting on page 99, are our 25 in-print real weddings (and we cannot get enough of real weddings, so we post additional weddings to our blog regularly, so tune in there, too!).
