You plan your wedding to the “T”…fretting over every little detail, wanting the day to be absolutely perfect. Then the day comes and a hiccup happens. You can either let it ruin your entire day, or you can just go with it—let it play out. And sometimes, that hiccup can be a blessing in disguise. Hey, it happens to us on all of our photo shoots—a classic example: on our “Let it Snow” shoot, we expected snow to be on the ground, but we didn’t actually expect it to snow (and then also be sunny just two minutes later) that day. Our team just went with it, and we ended up getting gorgeous photos with snow falling on our set and on our real bride model; it was a blessing in disguise and simply perfect. As long as you surround yourself with true wedding professionals, like we do on all of our photo shoots, everything for you, too, will be simply perfect.
Let’s get started on your wedding planning! First up: our photo shoots. Each issue we assemble teams of talented wedding professionals to inspire your wedding style from décor and cuisine to attire and accessories and beyond, and this issue is no exception! Here, we have three distinctly different styled shoot vignettes: “In the Mood for Love,” “Urban Oasis” and “Let it Snow.” We had a lot of fun putting them together for you and we hope you enjoy them just as much!
Then, check out our TWO (yes, two—hey, we tried something different this issue!) cover model contest finalist features: “Blushing Beauties” and “Model Citizens.” Like all of our cover model finalist feature photo shoots, we had a great time playing dress up—with gorgeous hair, makeup, accessory, bouquet and dress looks, along with fabulous décor sets. Oh, and if you want to see more photos from these shoots, be sure to tune into our website for each photo shoots’ blog series!
Next up: columnist Kelley Saia compiled a myriad of expert tips from our local wedding pros (be sure to check out her blog posts for even more helpful nuggets!)—check them out starting on page 44. Our resident “Always a Bridesmaid” columnist Darren Elms talks trends starting on page 28; our “For Your Review” columnist Sharon Penny presents you with a plethora of planning tools starting on page 34 (with even more on our website); our “Gift Guide” will help you check everyone off of your gift list (including a few gifts for you!); and so much more packed into the pages of this issue.
And finally, we feature 34 inspiring real weddings—starting on page 125 (and be sure to check out our website each week for even MORE real weddings—every Wednesday is our “Real Weddings Wednesday.” Get it?!).
And a huge, hearty thanks to all of this issue’s contributing partners—you’re so giving with your knowledge and your talents, and we cannot thank you enough for sharing it with us and our readers!
As always, dear readers, happy planning!
