Tell us a little about you and your beloved: We met through Mike’s company, TCD Studios, in 2012. I starting working with him and he surprised me by proposing at our company’s anniversary party. He set it up so I “won” a raffle prize and when I got on stage a video played with him and some of our closest friends talking about our relationship. It ended with him coming out and proposing. It was such a surprise!
What was the most amazing part of your day? It’s so hard to pick one thing! But for sure his vows. He nailed it. I also loved the speeches. His brother and my friends did amazing jobs and my bridesmaids even surprised me with a funny song about us.
What else would you like to share about your big day? We closed down our venue and then took the party to a dive bar. People still tell me it was one of the most fun weddings they’ve been to. I think we just have really fun friends and family. The people make the party.

Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now? Your guests aren’t there to critique your DIY center pieces. They are there to celebrate you and your partner. So don’t sweat the small stuff and just have fun.
Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance? I would have worried less and enjoyed planning more.
