Real Weddings is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary and in honor of this milestone, we are checking back in with our beautiful cover models! We’ve been so lucky to work with over 60 local brides these past 10 years and we’re eager to see where they are now.

When did you get married?

October 7, 2016 at Arden Hills Resort & Spa.

Any children (fur or human)?

We had two children prior to our wedding, but we definitely have plans for a third in the near future!

What do you do for a living?

I’m a full time mom and wife! I had a great career the past 10 years, however this past year being home with my kids has by far the best job I’ve ever had!

Where are you living?

We currently live in Roseville.

What do you enjoy doing with your family?

We’re pretty much homebodies but when we do get out we like to try out different happy hours or new restaurants.

Knowing what you now know, what advice would you give yourself on your wedding day?

Looking back if I could give my bride self some advice it’d be to not worry about the small stuff. To remember why everyone is celebrating the day and embrace that. We were on a time crunch because we had a timeline to stick to and honestly I would have thrown that timeline out. I know it helps navigate the reception so it all flows but I felt we were pulled from dinner and dancing to move to the next item on our “to-do list.” I would definitely have moved all of our traditions to the very beginning of the night, because once dinner is done everyone is ready to enjoy the rest of the night!

Whats your favorite part of marriage?

This sounds so cliche but the best part of marriage is having a partner in life. I stay home with our kids so it’s things like the time of the day that we know my husband is coming home from work and being there to greet him and watch the kids run to him and tell him all about their day and to hear all about his. Someone to stay up late with and sneak dessert once the kids fall asleep and just having that constant support in the worst parts of life and someone to share and enjoy the best parts of life.

Lastly, how was your Cover Model experience?

I still tell people about how fun the experience was. I got to do the shoot prior to my wedding and it was so much fun to get glammed up 20 different times. I feel as though it helped me remain calm on my actual wedding day because I had already experienced the whole process. I saw my make up several different ways and my hair in different styles so the day of I knew what look I wanted to go for. I was able to sit back while getting ready and really take everything in on our wedding day.
