Welcome back to another installment of Real Weddings Magazine’s Partner Profiles!
This week we highlight Brandon Bowman of Morningside Florist! If you’ve been wanting to learn more about Brandon and the incredible team at Morningside Florist, now’s your chance! Take it away, Brandon…
Tell us a little about your company? We are a unique and creative florist.
When did you establish your business? 1987.
What sets you apart from your competition? Our experienced design staff is young and hip to all the new trends.
Where do you find inspiration? From nature’s beauty.
What trend do you see coming for weddings this year? Natural, clean lines, simple, and vintage.
What’s your favorite comment/compliment that one of your clients has given you? “Your flowers were breathtaking”
What’s your favorite local restaurant? BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse
What’s your favorite local charity? Rancho Cordova Children’s Museum
What is your favorite fun thing to do locally? Weddings. We love our job.
Do you have secret vice or indulgence? What is it? The boxes of chocolate here at our shop.
Do you have any hidden talents? Our head designer is also a wedding DJ. Brides love this!
If you weren’t in the business that you are in now, what other business/profession would you have liked to have done? Honestly, if I wasn’t a floral designer, I would be a full-time wedding DJ.
If you were to plan your own wedding, or re-do your wedding, what element(s) would be most important to you? Flowers and Music. Sometimes brides tend to cut corners here to spend more on the venue and food. The flowers will make any venue look beautiful and the music will set the mood.
What advice would you can give to brides and grooms getting married today? Pick your venue first and don’t cut corners when it comes to floral décor.
Anything else you’d like to share with Real Weddings Magazine’s brides? We have been doing weddings for over 25 years and are very familiar with all the local venues.
