About: FRESHbash is the first event exhibition of its kind to incorporate a competition amongst industry vendors, each seeking to create the “freshest” wedding design concept.
FRESHbash developers are planning an “engaging, inspiring, and exciting extravaganza” for brides, industry attendees, and design lovers by offering a variety of experiential elements that FRESHbash attendees can touch, taste, hear, and craft.
This year’s FRESHbash will feature craft mixology, innovative bites by S + S Gastrogrub, a Dart DJ dance party, four highly stylized creative exhibits by FRESHbash design teams, a DIY donut bar (think edible glitter, candied bacon, and house-made cookie crumbles), statement lips painted by Polish and Pout, the “I Do” Cinema (a movie theater meets wedding-ceremony hybrid), live art demonstrations by Brown Paper Pigeon and Ryanne Steele, and a variety of other experiential and edible stations.
FRESHbash is equal parts industry party, talent competition, and community-building endeavor, fostering camaraderie amongst the crème de la crème of Northern California event professionals by pairing together vendors from different geographical markets into each competing design teams.
“Historically, the San Francisco/Bay Area, Napa/Sonoma and Sacramento event industries haven’t interacted much,” says event planner-designer and FRESH co-founder Hailey Silver.  “FRESH was established by a group of creatives who want to bring the community together and showcase the vast amount of talent that exists within each demographic. FRESHbash promises to be fun and exciting, but it’s more important than that. FRESH is a movement. It’s a game changer.
Attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite FRESHbash design team exhibit and decide who should be crowned the “FRESHest” team for 2015.
The FRESH team encourages attendees to arrive early, as the first 100 guests to enter FRESHbash will score a bag of FRESHswag, a tote filled with a variety of exclusive event design-inspired trinkets, crafts and products (including a FREE copy of Real Weddings Magazine!)
“Bringing community together through fresh design is something that is changing the landscape of Sacramento culture at a rapid pace, and we’re so excited to be a part of that process,” says wedding stationer and co-founder of FRESHbash, Rosaura Unangst. “We have some big surprises planned, and we can’t wait for the big reveal at FRESHbash.”
