Yesterday marked the close of International Bridal Week, a biannual trade show attracting hundreds of the world’s premier designers to New York’s Pier 94. In addition to shows by bridal wear heavyweights Badgley Mischka, Eve of Milady, Jenny Lee, Ivy & Aster, and Mori Lee, this weekend’s TLC-sponsored showcase featured emerging talents, including Sacramento’s own Miosa Couture. Here, we pick our favorite looks from some of IBW’s hottest names to watch.
Anais Anette – According to the brand’s website, each gown is “influenced by the enchantment of Parisian culture” and designed for “the effortlessly chic and admirably confident woman.” Designs are currently available online and in shops throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Miosa Couture – Of her Miosa Couture experience, Terri from Sacramento, says, “I had the best experience at Miosa. I went to two other bridal stores after I visited Miosa and none could compare to the customer service and selection… They really made me feel special, which is how you should feel when picking out your wedding dress.” To view Miosa’s couture collection, visit their downtown Sacramento location.
Olia Zavozina – Zavozina mastered the art of design and tailoring in her native Russia. At 18, she relocated to Nashville and began establishing a bridal wear business while completing her MBA. Her designs are available at select Nordstrom Wedding Suites and boutiques nationwide.
