Tell us a little about you and your beloved: Jeff and I were set up on a blind date for a party, while in a fraternity and sorority at Sac State. College was not the easiest for us but somehow we made it through. After graduating and some more growing up, we became stronger than ever.
Jeff proposed on his birthday or so what I thought was his birthday celebration! We went to his mother’s house that morning to decorate and get things ready for his birthday BBQ. He had his family come, my family, and our closest friends. We began to sing happy birthday and at the end he proposed. The cake said, “Marry Me?” Apparently, everyone knew what was going to happen except me, but it was perfect!
We began to plan our wedding immediately. Within the next few days, we sat and picked out tentative dates. The following weekend we were looking at venues. From there on wedding MADNESS was in full effect! We had a one year timeline to plan our wedding, but all of our vendors were booked within the first three months. This left us plenty of time to get things done how we wanted throughout the year without rushing.
What was the most amazing part of your day? This is a hard question. The whole day was everything that I dreamed of and more! I loved our first dance. It was just about him and I, officially married, surrounded by the love of our family and friends!
What else would you like to share about your big day? I was able to walk down the aisle with my grandmother, which was very special because she walked me down the aisle for my quinceanera as well.

Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now? Organization is key! Book your ceremony and venue locations first. Once those are done relax and prioritize booking what your “must-haves” are for your wedding.
Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance? I wish that I would have not stressed myself out about the little details. The last week I drove myself crazy finishing little things here and there. But, in the end, no one knows what went wrong, what something was suppose to look like or even if something was missing.
