Ashley and Brendan didn’t just want a wedding day—they wanted a family day. With her three kids standing right beside them at the altar, the couple exchanged vows on a rooftop overlooking Lake Tahoe, turning what could have been a simple ceremony into the moment their blended family officially became one. True to his day job as a basketball coach, Brendan even said “I do” in a pair of Nike Jordans, a small detail that let his personality shine through on one of the biggest days of his life.
The couple planned every detail themselves, prioritizing one thing above all: a packed, joy-filled dance floor. They hand-picked every song their DJ played, and it paid off—guests danced well into the night under string lights at The Landing Resort & Spa. Rain had threatened the outdoor ceremony right up until the big day, but the skies cleared just in time for a golden sunset over the lake, captured beautifully by Sweet Marie Photography. The evening’s most unforgettable moment, though, had nothing to do with the weather—it was the kids’ unrehearsed wedding speeches, which left the entire room in happy tears.
