How did you meet?
We met on a dating app.
Tell us about your engagement.
We got engaged in November 2024. We booked a wine tasting trip to Murphys, one of our favorite spots, with our best friends. Teo proposed at Iron Stone Vineyards. It was a hot July day, and we had made lunch plans, with cold beers to follow. Here is what we had our officiant read in our ceremony: A flashback to three years ago with Allie and Teo on their second date ever! During the day, a lady approached them asking if Allie and Teo were a married couple, and that they looked perfect together. Allie and Teo smiled and laughed, saying no, this was actually only their 2nd date! She gave them a wink and said, “Here let me take your picture, because you two NEED to fix that and get married. And don’t forget to invite me to your wedding!” And while she is not here today, it’s amazing how the universe worked its magic!
To find such a special connection is like a needle in a haystack these days. From sharing their joy for country music concerts in Lake Tahoe, to wine tasting, charcuterie boards, an excitement for travel and adventure, and a new shared love for cats, their love grows more every day with each memory made.
During a Fall weekend getaway to their favorite wine tasting mountain town of Murphy California, Teo crafted a surprise Allie would never forget. He invited their good friends to join them, and kick off the weekend with a winery and a stroll through their grounds before the rain started. With a code word and perfect backdrop, it was time to queue the proposal.
Among the fall leaves, oak trees, and fresh mountain air, Teo got down on one knee, and that brings us to today.
#WeddingGoals
I knew I wanted a venue with some type of barn. We wanted to find a venue that was close enough to home but not too far. It was a plus being a winery, as we could go back and visit and get to try their wines.

How did planning go?
We truly enjoyed the planning process! Finding a venue was the most stressful part. We did a ton of research, and Scribner Bend Vineyards was actually the very first venue we visited. The moment we saw it, we knew it was the one. After that, the fun began—choosing vendors and picking out decorations was such an enjoyable experience. The most challenging part was putting together the timeline, but our wedding planner, Morgan, handled most of it (thankfully!). Without her help, that part would have been overwhelming for me.
Biggest Challenge?
All of the coordinating. There is so much that goes into everything and a lot changes along the way.

How was the Ceremony?
It was absolutely beautiful, and the rose bushes made the space feel so intimate. The ceremony itself was short and sweet since we had read our vows privately beforehand. We planned it this way intentionally, knowing that mid-August can be extremely hot—sometimes over 100 degrees! We chose not to have “sides” for the ceremony and invited our friends and family to sit wherever they felt comfortable. The only exception was reserving the first two rows for our immediate family.
Memorable Moments
All of our toasts were so special—it was hard not to cry through all of them!
Special Dances:
First Dance: Forever To Go by Chase Rice
Family Dances: I Hope You Dance by LeeAnn Womack (bride and uncle), and Millionaire by Chris Stapleton (mother and son).
Allie’s Favorite Part
It’s hard to pick just one favorite moment from our wedding day, so I’m including a few that felt extra special. The first was reading our vows privately. It was such an intimate moment where time felt like it stood still, just the two of us. I also loved getting ready surrounded by my bridesmaids, my mom, and my mother-in-law. Having everyone together made the morning so joyful. Finally, sitting at our head table and looking out at all our friends and family, seeing how happy everyone was–it was an incredibly special moment I’ll never forget.
Teo’s Favorite Part
The grand entrance was a dream—seeing all of the preparation and planning come to life felt so rewarding! As the barn doors opened and the DJ played our favorite song, I loved having my beautiful bride by my side as we walked to our head table, seeing the décor, flowers, and lighting, along with the joy on all of our loved ones’ faces. It was everything I could have ever asked for and more as we began to celebrate being a married couple!

Favorite Detail
The flowers! Our floral designer, Jackie, did an amazing job bringing our vision to life across the venue. The colors, softness, and warmth of a summer harvest were brilliantly on display at the ceremony, in the bouquets, and afterwards in the reception table arrangements.

Looking back, what do you think your guests will remember most about your wedding?
The venue layout gave our guests so many wonderful areas to mingle and celebrate! Our guests loved the ambiance and surprises throughout the day – from the intimate ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception – we had a special touch of “us” that made it fun and memorable for all. The custom napkins with our cats to cheers everyone, the vintage Italian pickup for a variety of desserts, the ice cream cart, the photo booth Airstream trailer, the dance floor with sparklers–there was something fun for everyone on our special day, and we heard from many that they wish the wedding festivities lasted a few hours longer into the night!
