The ceremony was personal and emotional. We were so happy to have the time to speak from our hearts, which we rarely do. We wrote our own vows and had a close family member as our officiant so it was very unique to us as a couple.

While planning the wedding, was there anything in particular you knew you wanted for the day?
We wanted a relaxed family- and friend-filled moment…a chance to spend our day with everyone we love.
How did the planning go?
Planning was fast; six months. We wish we would have had eight or more months so things weren’t so busy. But the venue and all the vendors we worked with were very helpful and communicated quickly.
What was the biggest challenge of wedding planning?
Any vendor(s) you'd like to rave about?
All were fantastic! The photography and videography team made our big day such a breeze and they were so wonderful to have alongside us. They were efficient and kept us at ease.
The makeup artist was as sweet as can be, and everyone loved their makeup for the day!
Any memorable moments from your reception?
Toasts were fun, with lots of love and some good roasting moments that provided good laughs. Dancing with everyone under the lights at the venue was a feeling we will never forget!
What was the best part of your day?
Bride: The big smiles on his face; the way everything felt; sneaking away just the two of us for sunset photos. Also all the hugs we finally got to have with loved ones, and conversations had.
Groom: Listening to her vows and being in the moment.
What was your favorite detail from your wedding day?
Bride: My wedding dress and the table decor at the reception.
Groom: The food and seeing Angelica in her dress.
Advice from the Couple
Things can change quickly closer to your wedding day than you would like. Remain calm, and know it will work out. Try to have back up ideas and plans just in case. Stick close to the helpful people, who take some of the stress off of you. Enjoy the whole week of your wedding, it goes by in the blink of an eye! Try to soak it up the best you can.
What would you have done differently if you had the chance?
Would have loved to add on an extra hour of reception time. Also, we didn’t do first look photos; we wish we would have.
