How did you meet?

We met online back in 2019.

When did you become engaged, and how?

We were on vacation at Lake Berryessa with both our families for a few days back in August of 2023. We were all sitting out on the deck during the sunset after being out on the water all day. Clint had gone inside to let our dog, Indy outside from the cabin and had placed the ring box tied round his collar. Next thing I know, Clint is down on one knee as I was grabbing the box from Indy. It was really sweet! Indy is our world, so incorporating him in the engagement was really special.

#CeremonyGoals

I came in by horse and carriage to the ceremony site, which was a surprise we had kept from our guests. We had also asked our close friend and officiant, Rob, to take a selfie that included Clint and me along with our guests before we tied the knot. It was perfect!

Any memorable moments from your reception?

The speeches were amazing, and the photo booth was a hit!

Any funny or unexpected wedding moments that happened throughout the day?

During golden hour, our photographer, Travis, had us hop in a tin boat that was docked nearby. We were totally down for it! Next thing we knew, we were in the boat and Clint’s friends decided to push the boat into the water, holding it with a rope from shore. It was very wobbly but hilarious! Needless to say, it made for some priceless photos!

What was the best part of your day – from each spouse’s perspective, please?

Clint: The best part of my day was our first look. It was really special because that was one of the few parts of the day where it was just Ashley and I. The pizza truck was also great!

Ashley: There are so many favorites parts of the day! I’ll always cherish the morning getting ready with my bridesmaids, and my first look with my dad. Our first dance out on the dock was really special as well, because we were able to breathe for a moment as just the two of us in the midst of the evening. However, the best part of the day was also our first look. It was the moment I was waiting for all day and seeing his reaction was priceless.

#VendorRaves

All of our vendors were incredible—the day wouldn’t have been the same without them.

Looking back, what do you think your guests will remember most about your wedding?

The venue! There were horses when you drove in, vineyards and a stunning view of the water. Also the food and dessert. The pizza was incredible!!

Advice from the couple:

Don’t try to please everyone. This is your day! Be patient and enjoy the process.
