#VendorRaves

Wedgewood Weddings and Erica Baldwin and Justin Toves-Vincilione all did a fantastic job!

Budget Considerations

It was a little challenging to stay within our budget, however Wedgewood Weddings did an amazing job and we didn’t have to leave anything out. Having a spring wedding on a Thursday made the price more affordable and reasonable for us. We were very happy with how our wedding turned out and how much fun everyone had! Thankfully, we were able to stay pretty close to within our budget.

How did you meet?

My wife says I stalked her at her Rite Aid job. LOL! I tell people I was a regular customer at Rite Aid since I lived just down the street from her store, and she was the store supervisor. Although I did try to make it a point to show up when I thought she was working.

When did you become engaged, and how?

We got engaged about a year after we met/started dating. I proposed to Connie on Christmas morning at a chalet we rented at Lake Tahoe. We also got snowed in that Christmas! It was a white Christmas! And one we will always remember!

How did the planning go?

The planning went well, and Wedgewood Weddings made it very easy and straightforward to follow their outline and plans. The DJ’s website was also very user-friendly. Our favorite time was the cake tasting and visiting Wedgewood Weddings at Carmel Fields with Connie’s parents for food tasting and meeting the vendors.

Biggest Challenge

One of the biggest challenges was picking a venue we both really liked. We’re both really happy and lucky we found Wedgewood that included a lot in their wedding package. Also, trying to get responses from our invited guests. Also, there were times when Connie had anxiety about planning the wedding while finishing college and working at the same time. It sometimes got a bit overwhelming making sure everything came together and got done before the big day.

#CeremonyGoals

It was wonderful and memorable! Our vows made our ceremony unique—telling each other how much we mean to and love each other. And our officiant did a great job combining emotional and meaningful elements about love and marriage with a good dose of humor.

Memorable Moment

Connie’s grandfather, Steve, made a memorable prayer, and Connie’s father made a really nice and heartfelt speech. Connie’s maid-of-honor gave a great speech that described how close they were as best friends since childhood, And my best man gave a great speech saying how good Connie and I are together and make such a great couple!

Special Cultural Feature

We played some Italian songs to celebrate Connie’s Italian heritage.

Funny Moment

One of my groomsmen gave a short and funny speech, “Tristan, my best advice for your marriage, stop buying crappy cars!” Because I tend to buy a lot of car projects that I intend to fix up but usually don’t get around to working on them. Also Connie’s first attempt at throwing her bouquet, it hit a beam and fell right behind her, and the second time she hit one of her bridesmaids in the face!

What was the best part of your day?

We each say “getting to marry the love of our life”. Also, the first look with the groom and then Connie’s father, getting ready with her bridesmaids, the father-daughter dance and bride-and-groom dance.

Favorite Detail

Chloe, our wedding coordinator from Wedgewood, did a wonderful job and decorated the venue beautifully. Also, Connie’s wedding dress, makeup and hair, and the flowers from Flor de Monterey, especially the wedding bouquets.

What do you think your guests will remember most about your wedding?

I think the day as a whole went spectacularly well and was a lot of fun, with good music and delicious food and fun dancing! They will also remember how beautiful Connie looked in her wedding dress, and also the beautiful Carmel Valley location.

Advice from the couple:

Work together, create a to-do list, try not to argue or fight over details, compromise as much as possible, and remember to have fun and show love to each other!

What would you have done differently if you had the chance?

Connie wished she had been able to eat earlier at the reception, however we decided to greet and say hello to our guests before eating and our food was cold by the time we sat down at our table – it was still delicious though. We also felt the DJ played the music a little too loud for our older guests. I probably should have asked him to not play it quite so loud for some of our guests.
