How did you meet?
We met through a good mutual friend at a bowling alley when we were 18 and 19.
Tell us about your engagement.
We got engaged a year later on a back road behind the Sacramento airport where we had our first date, chilling in our trucks watching the sun set.
#WeddingGoals
We knew we wanted it to feel fun, and for the music and food to be good.
How did planning go?
Planning was a whirlwind because we were both working full-time. A good part was choosing the music, and the worst part was the seating chart and invites.
Biggest Challenge?
The biggest challenge was wanting to please everyone while trying to do what we wanted.
Memorable Moments
Our bridesmaids and groomsmen surprised us with a dance, where they jumped over each other leap-frog style.
Did you have any special cultural features to your wedding or factors that celebrated the heritage of you or your family?
We had a “Love Before Us” table featuring photo from past weddings of all our loved ones.

Any funny or unexpected wedding moments that happened throughout the day?
On the morning of the wedding, a local dog came by and ran up to everyone saying hi, and getting his muddy foot prints on things.
Special Dances:
First Dance: Wasteland Baby by Hozier
Family Dance: Sunday by The Cranberries (Father/Daughter), and One More Dance with my Son by My One and Only (Mother/Son)
What was the best part of your day?
Bride: The best part of the day was taking my heels off and dancing with my favorite people.
Groom: The best part was seeing my bride walk down the aisle, and officially marrying her.
Favorite Detail
One of my favorite details were the hand painted table numbers.

Looking back, what do you think your guests will remember most about your wedding?
I think they will remember the dances and the ceremony.
Advice from the Couple
Do what you want and don’t try to please other people! You won’t regret it.
What would you have done differently?
I would have had fewer people, and slowed down more during the whole process.
