May 30, 2019. Jacopo proposed to Johnathon on a rooftop boat on the Seine River in Paris, in front of the Eiffel Tower.

#WeddingGoals

I knew I wanted Champagne and nibbles in our dressing room while we were getting ready. As soon as I walked down the aisle, all expectations went out the window and I enjoyed every moment with my soon-to-be husband.

How did planning go?

Initially we had a problem deciding on vendors. Once we decided on vendors, everything went smoothly. Our favorite part was deciding on all the small details.

Biggest Challenge

Agreeing on which songs would be played at the wedding.

How was the ceremony?

It was magical. There are no words to describe walking down the aisle in front of a big group of people who love you and support you.

Memorable Moments

All of it was amazing. Our first dance we will always remember. So many memories we will cherish forever.

Did you have any special cultural features to your wedding or factors that celebrated the heritage of you or your family?

Since Jacopo is Italian, we incorporated Italian songs, drinks, and other Italian traditions into the wedding, like the five sugared almonds in our party favors.

Special Dances:

First Dance:  Photograph by Ed Sheeran

Family Dance:  What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong (Mother/Son)

Last Dance:  Last Dance by Donna Summer

Couple’s Favorite Part of the Day

Johnathon: Having alone time during our photo shoot. I enjoyed every moment of the day, but it was great to be just us during that time.

Jacopo: Just looking around and seeing all the people we love in one place, celebrating with us. It felt so special to have everyone together.

Favorite Detail

Having our family come from near and far to celebrate our big day.

Looking back, what do you think your guests will remember most about your wedding?

How much love was filled in the room.

Advice from the Couple

Don’t be afraid to ask too many questions to your coordinators and vendors.
