HOW DID YOU MEET?
We met in communications class at community college.

WHEN DID YOU BECOME ENGAGED AND HOW?
We got engaged right after Jasmine’s graduation in LA. It was at a rooftop bar on a nice evening in June 2023.

#WEDDINGGOALS
We definitely wanted to have an ice cream cart because that’s how we end our dates most of the time. Spending time with family was a must, too.

HOW DID PLANNING GO? FAVORITE TIME? WORST MOMENT?
It was fun but stressful as we got closer to the actual day. Our favorite part was building and creating things from scratch, and the worst was preparation the day before while commuting.

WHAT WAS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE OF WEDDING PLANNING?
Negotiating the best price to meet our budget.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE CEREMONY? WAS THERE ANYTHING SPECIFIC THAT MADE IT UNIQUE TO YOU AS A COUPLE?
It was great. Our handshake after walking out together was pretty neat!

ANY MEMORABLE MOMENTS FROM YOUR RECEPTION? TOASTS? FUN DANCES? PERFORMANCES?
The speeches were really nice. We loved dancing with family and friends as well.

There are many unexpected expenses that people don’t account for when wedding planning. Our budget increased significantly in the months leading up to the wedding.

WHAT TIPS OR ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO COUPLES PLANNING THEIR WEDDING TODAY?
Try to factor unexpected expenses into your budget. Enjoy every moment on the day of the wedding.

WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY IF YOU HAD THE CHANCE?
Nothing.
