How did you meet?

We met at a show where Salvador’s cousin’s band, Hero’s Last Mission, was playing. I went with my cousin that had previously met Salvador as she was saying ‘hi’ to him. He asked her “Who is that, are you going to introduce me?” She introduced me and I said ‘hi’ then walked away. After that, he got ahold of me on social media. We talked a bit then he asked me out on a date. I was hesitant at first, but then I decided to give him a chance. He was really nice, funny, and we had a lot in common.

When did you get engaged, and how?

We got engaged on February 27, 2021. He surprised me and proposed to me during our family photo shoot.

#WeddingGoals

From the beginning, we knew we wanted to have a fun, unforgettable wedding. Once we found a venue that would allow us to party until 6 a.m., we knew we had found the perfect place for us.

How did the planning go?

Favorite moment: When my now-husband told me he loved the venue just as much as I did.

Worst moment: On February 25, 2023, when my mom passed away after complications that arose after her liver transplant. Continuing on with the plans was very difficult, but something we knew my mom would have wanted for us.

Favorite Details

How the whole venue was decorated, our sweetheart table, and the memorial table they did for my mom.

#VendorRaves

Everyone at Forest House Lodge did such an amazing job, and we had the most amazing photographer and videographer.

How would you describe the ceremony?

The ceremony site overlooked the beautiful Sierra mountains and it was picture perfect. We had an unplugged ceremony so right after we walked down the aisle our DJ announced that everyone had one minute to run up and get selfies with us, those were some of the best pictures.

Memorable Moments

When they announced us as newlyweds and seeing all of our loved ones cheering us on brought tears to our eyes. We did a special family dance with our kids, and they were so happy they cried. My (Jennifer) sister’s speech meant so much to us and brought everyone to tears.

Best Part of your Day?

Salvador: Being across from my bride at the ceremony and seeing her in her dress.

Jennifer: Getting to marry my best friend in front of all our loved ones with the most beautiful view ever.

Advice from the couple:

If you don’t want to be too stressed out find an all-inclusive venue. All we had to worry about was getting a florist, photographer, videographer and a DJ. Remember to take it all in and try to get at least 10 to 15 minutes alone time.
