Any vendor(s) you'd like to rave about?
Our photographer, Mindy, not only captured every single moment of our special day but also was such a great guide throughout the whole day–she really kept everything going and on schedule.
I applaud all our vendors along with the wedding coordinator provided by the venue, Jenine, for keeping everything together before, during and after our wedding. Every single person went above and beyond to make this the most memorable day for the both of us.
What was the best part of your day?
Bride: My favorite part of our wedding day was the first look, the moment I saw Jacob all the nerves went out the door, he was the only thing I was thinking of. I really felt “in the moment” during this time. Another favorite part was when my mom did her speech, she asked Jacob and I to stop, take a deep breathe and look out to all of our guests; this is a moment when we truly took every little detail in and were overlooking all of our hard work and planning, looking out and seeing all of our guests enjoying themselves and there to celebrate our love was just a magical feeling and moment. The moment of our vows was also such a highlight of our day, it was pure, raw love and emotion.
Groom: My favorite part of our wedding was the first look as well, seeing Kaela for the first time in her wedding dress was a moment I’ll never forget. Seeing her instantly calmed my nerves, it was just her and me in that moment, the only moment we got to share the whole day. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Any memorable moments from your reception?
Bride: The toasts and speeches were by far one of the most memorable moments for both of us; listening to everyone share their advise of a happy healthy marriage, moments of our relationship, hard and trying times to where we were today, was so surreal. Everyone truly knew that we were soul mates and that we didn’t meet by chance; we met because God put us in front of each other for a reason.
Jacob lost his Grandpa, his mom’s dad in May of 2020, so we knew we wanted to honor his memory on our special day. Jacob surprised his Oma with a first dance to “Have I Told You Lately” by Rod Stewart. This was a moment that Jake wanted Oma to feel as if she was dancing with Bepa in a moment back in time. Make time for all the small details that in the end are the biggest details, the most love-felt moments that people will never forget.
Advice from the Couple
Simply enjoy every moment of the process, from the planning, to the details, to the guest list. Laugh, make memories with your spouse not only the day of but during the planning of your special day, make things fun and memorable. Don’t feel overwhelmed, laugh when it seems stressful and lean on your tribe when you’re torn between décor and linens.
