Tell us about your engagement.
We got engaged on a sunset cruise on Tahoe lake in August of 2020. Brittany asked a random stranger to take a picture (which was a video) and then she handed me a Taco Bell hot sauce packet that said “Marry Me?” and got done on one knee and asked me.
How was wedding planning?
It went amazing because of our wedding planner! She really took care of everything. Karly’s favorite moment was wedding dress shopping with her mom, grandma, and Britt’s mom. Britt’s favorite part was when the planning was over.
How would you describe the ceremony?
The ceremony was intimate. We got married by our best friend and we had a tree planting ceremony. We also wrote our own vows and said “I promise” instead of “I do.”
Any memorable moments?
Karly’s maid of honor’s speech! She had props of Karly’s instagram and it was hilarious.
Any special aspects to your wedding?
The tree from the tree planting during the ceremony was given to us by Karly’s grandparents and one of those grandparents has recently passed away so it means so much more now.
What was the best part of the day?
Brittany: When she first saw Karly walking down the aisle.
Karly: Her walk with her dad down the aisle and seeing Brittany tear up.
