How did you meet?
Bill and I met at work. We had known each other for almost 10 years before getting married.
When did you become engaged, and how?
Bill proposed to me in April 2023. It was absolutely perfect! We were on vacation in the Bahamas with friends, and he proposed on the beach during sunset.
#WeddingGoals
I mainly wanted to be able to enjoy my guests and have fun. I am very fortunate that everything was perfect and ran very smooth without any stress.
How did planning go?
I planned my wedding in four months. It was a little stressful just due to timing. I was worried that my wedding dress wouldn’t come in on time. Luckily, my stylist helped me pick a dress that was in stock, and I needed very few alterations. And our venue is a great all inclusive venue and made planning simple and easy.
Biggest Challenge
Planning a wedding in four months.
#CeremonyGoals
The ceremony was quick because I didn’t want our guests in the sun for too long since it was in mid-August. Our mantra is “all in” so when we said our vows, we asked the other if they were, “all in?”
Memorable Moments
As a blended family, our two little girls gave a speech approving of the other new parent and their new family.
What was the best part of your day?
I enjoyed spending time in the morning with my bridesmaids and mother very much. Everyone was so excited and happy—it was a joy to be around them! And, my husband loved the speeches his groomsmen gave.
Favorite Detail
I had menu cards made to place at each place setting with our three course dinner meal and a wine list.
#VendorRaves
Mindy from Sweet Marie Photography was a great photographer! She was so patient with our large bridal party and did amazing work!
Looking back, what do you think guests will remember most about your wedding?
The photo booth was a great touch. Everybody was able to enjoy it. We also had indoor sparklers that went off during our introduction to the reception.
What tips or advice would you give to couples planning their wedding today?
Enjoy the planning. Enjoy the experience and try to enjoy their wedding day as much as possible.
What would you have done differently if you had the chance?
It would have been nice to have more time to plan the wedding. Other than that I would change nothing else.
