We always wanted a small and intimate wedding. We didn’t have any expectations except focusing on our love for each other and building a future. We knew everything else would fall into place that day.

The Brick Coffee House Cafe owner, Heather Thompson. She made everything so easy and enjoyable. We were able to use wedding decor from her other venue and she provided all of the catering. Could not have been a better experience
Easy at first and then COVID hit, and venues starting closing down. Worst moment was changing venues four months before the wedding. Favorite moment was finding a new and more perfect venue for us.
We had to change venues 4 months before the wedding. The new venue was smaller and would only allow half capacity because of COVID. We had to redo practically everything after finding the new venue.
Following my heart about what kind of wedding I wanted and not letting other people’s wants and opinions affect my planning decisions
Intimate and emotional. We had our officiant write personal vows for our “I Dos” and then we also each wrote vows for one another.
I forgot my boutique walking down the aisle.
My favorite detail was the wedding cake table. We had little figurines the grooms parents brought us from their vacation in Mexico. We had a chalk board next to the cake table that said, “I got some dessert for ya!” referencing Houston’s proposal speech.
Our fathers’ toasts.
Kayli: “Marrying my best friend and starting our lives together. Feeling the love from everyone in the room. I’ve never felt so much love.”
Houston: “Looking at my bride while getting married.”
How happy our families were meeting and being together to celebrate with us.
Plan the wedding of your dreams and no one else’s; and it’s impossible to please everyone.
I feel like I rushed walking down the aisle and didn’t take the time to take in the moment.
