How did you meet?
We met when we were both teaching. Lauren taught 1st grade, and Nico taught 5th grade.
When did you become engaged, and how?
We became engaged in February 2023. The previous September, we went to look at engagement rings. Nico proposed on Saturday 2/25/2023 at 5AM at our house. I had a feeling he was going to propose that weekend because he was being secretive/vague about our weekend plans, but I was very surprised that it happened at 5AM in the morning. We spent the day with both of our families in Healdsburg.

We knew that we wanted to have live music for our wedding.
How did planning go?
We enjoyed the design aspect, like picking out flowers, table linens, etc. We also enjoyed tasting the food and cake.
Memorable Moments
We had really great toasts from multiple family members and friends that had us laughing and crying (happy tears).
Any funny or unexpected wedding moments that happened throughout the day?
The guests started arriving, and I needed to move from the mansion to the clubhouse before the ceremony without anyone seeing me, so we had my bridesmaids hold a tablecloth around me and walked past the guests.

What was the best part of your day?
The live music, getting ready in the morning, going home to our house (and dog) that night.
Looking back, what do you think your guests will remember most about your wedding?
A lot of guests have told us that they enjoyed the food and music.
Advice from the couple:
Give yourself grace in the planning process, it can be stressful at times, but it will be an amazing day. Pick a few things that are most important to you and your partner. Finally, make sure you’re planning the wedding you want.
