Any vendors you’d like to rave about?

Our venue, Wedgewood Weddings, and our amazing photographers Adrienne & Dani for capturing so many amazing memories of our wedding day.

How would you describe the ceremony? Was there anything specific that made it unique to you as a couple?

I would say we kept our ceremony fun and a party up until the last song [and] the dance floor filled (I may or may not have danced on a table top). Also, our Photo Booth was a huge hit; there was a line at all times.

Any funny or unexpected wedding moments that happened throughout the day?

Day of, we all got ready at a house close to the venue. Everyone made Casey hide upstairs so I wouldn’t be seen until the ceremony. I had left, and the groomsmen forgot to tell Casey I had left. He was upstairs at the house waiting to be told he could come downstairs, and his groomsmen forgot about him, and he was almost late to the venue.

What was the best part of your day?

Melissa: Seeing all our friends and family be there to celebrate us. There were no hiccups, everything was stress free and fun, and I got to marry my best friend.

Casey: Seeing Melissa walk down the aisle, and seeing all friends and family in one room when it was time for speeches and toasts.

What tips or advice would you give to couples planning their wedding today?

Find a venue that has a package deal it helps not having to source so many vendors. I used Pinterest when coming up with a style and color scheme and sent that to my venue, cake artist, and florist so we were on the same page with floral and decor. I also tried to DIY items I thought were too costly and was able to have more room in my budget for food and guests. I would [also] get a calendar or a planner and notate all meetings, appointments to help stay on track. Communicate with your photographer on your vision you want, and speak up if you need help. Our photographers were amazing with suggestions when it came to an engagement shoot location and it really helped us feel confident and comfortable. Write down all your favorite songs and keep a list or a playlist that you can provide your DJ to ensure all your favorite songs are played. Lastly, remember to have fun and soak it all in and just have fun with it.
