HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?
We met in South Lake Tahoe on Fourth of July 2016.
WHEN DID YOU BECOME ENGAGED AND HOW?
We became engaged in 2024 at Half Moon Bay. It’s one of our favorite date spots—we love to spend the day at the beach and bring our cat.
#WEDDINGGOALS
I wanted welcome drinks for our guests as soon as they walked in the door so that everyone would feel relaxed and happy as they arrived. .
HOW DID PLANNING GO?
My favorite part of planning was touring wedding venues in Tahoe. Tahoe is such a special place for us, so seeing all of the beautiful venues was so fun. The worst moment was probably about four days before the wedding when I was trying to print the place cards off of my printer at home and nothing was printing right!
WHAT WAS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE OF WEDDING PLANNING?
Finding time to DIY.
WHAT WERE SOME OF THE CHALLENGES OF STAYING WITHIN YOUR BUDGET AND HOW DID YOU MANAGE IT?
Some of the challenges with the budget are the little details you forget about, like table numbers and cutlery, or even ice since we did not have a full kitchen at our venue. I stayed within budget by DIYing a lot of our decor—for example, we built our own seating chart board and stand. I also ordered things myself like candles, candle holders, and ribbon.

HOW WAS THE CEREMONY?
Relaxing and fun. Our guests said they could hear us giggling into our mics throughout the entire ceremony. We could not stop smiling from excitement. I think it added realness to our ceremony.
ANY MEMORABLE MOMENTS FROM YOUR RECEPTION?
Best man speech was amazing. Our guests could not stop laughing!

SPECIAL DANCES:
First Dance: “Baby I’m Yours” by Arctic Monkeys
WHAT WAS THE BEST PART OF YOUR DAY?
Bride: Speeches.
Groom: My favorite part was watching you come down the aisle. You looked so pretty and nervous and happy, and your dad looked like he was about to explode with tears. Walking you off the aisle was nice too. Sun setting during the speeches and band was electric.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE DETAIL FROM YOUR WEDDING DAY?
Sweet peas in my flowers because they are special to me and my grandmother.
#VENDORRAVES
Our florist Tracey from Create with T Floral Design absolutely exceeded my expectations and our band, The Lucky Devils, crushed it!

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR GUESTS WILL REMEMBER MOST ABOUT YOUR WEDDING?
The band, food, and the calming views of Lake Tahoe.
WHAT TIPS OR ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO COUPLES PLANNING THEIR WEDDING TODAY?
Everything is going to work out. Just remember it’s about you and your partner too!

WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY IF YOU HAD THE CHANCE?
Nothing. It was perfect.
