#VendorRaves

All of them! I purposely surrounded myself with the best—and the best part about it is I can call them all cherished friends!

Budget Considerations

When setting a budget for your wedding it is very important to understand how much your guest count drives the biggest costs of your special day budget and how important it is to surround yourself with vendors who are true professionals—it’s often overlooked because we tend to only look at the cost instead of focusing on the experience that they are providing.

How did you meet?

We first met when we were 12 years old playing baseball against each other then we reconnected having mutual friends and family.

When did you get engaged, and how?

We got engaged in one of our favorite places in Mendocino on May 8th, 2021 on the bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean with our dog, Moose, and my daughter, Riley.

#WeddingsGoals

Nothing in particular. I just wanted to to provide our guests a timeless experience. Great food, great drinks, and even better entertainment.

How did the planning go?

[My] favorite part of planning was walking into our venue prior to walking down the aisle and seeing my vision brought to life by all the hard work of all my vendors! It was amazing! [The] worst moment for me was, What do I plan now?

Biggest Challenge

To remember it’s okay for people to have opinions, but at the end of the day, make the decision on what you want and never lose sight of what this day means for you and your spouse.

How would you describe the ceremony?

It was important for us to have a family friend get ordained and marry us. We wrote our entire ceremony so there was a lot of laughs and teasing, but most importantly we were able to incorporate vows written by my husband to my daughter. There wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd!

Memorable Moment

Looking out at the crowd during toasts and seeing everyone truly enjoying this moment with us with all the smiles and laughs.

Rebecca’s Best Part

Walking down the aisle to the song “I Prayed for You” by Matt Stell and seeing my husband’s huge smile while being surrounded by the people who mean the most… okay, maybe the taco truck at midnight too!

Gary’s Best Part

Seeing my wife at our first look and enjoying that moment just between us and and our photographer, KABOO.

Favorite Detail

I lost my grandma a week before I got engaged, so my favorite detail from the wedding was being able to wear her earrings and tennis bracelet that were anniversary gifts from my grandpa on my wedding day.

What do you think your guests will remember most about your wedding?

All the love and the celebration of family.

Advice from the couple:

Surround yourself with the best vendors! It will be the best investment for your special day! And…never lose sight of the love that brought this day! Celebrate and enjoy all the little moments that the day brings—they are truly the best memories of a day that is over in the blink of an eye!

What would you have done differently if you had the chance?

Absolutely nothing.
