What was the best part of your day?
Reggie: Seeing everyone having a good time and just enjoying the day.
Kai: I’m not one for spotlights, but it’s nice to feel special now and then, especially with my partner by my side for support through it all.

UC Davis Astronomy Club did a star talk with a telescope for our guests!
All our vendors did a spectacular job, but we’d like to give special applause for Tan Weddings & Events who brought it all together and recommended the great vendors in the first place.
We had toasts from our close family members that I think showed a lot of love and even funny anecdotes that really helped show what our couple dynamic was to extended family.
Later in the evening a heavy fog rolled in and cast the sky in this dusky orange glow from the nearby greenhouses, so there was some unexpected ambiance there.
Reggie: The cloudy skies parted just enough for guests to glimpse the moon through the Astronomy Club’s telescope before the fog rolled in, so we were lucky and felt special.
Kai: Seeing it all come together was amazing. The moment before the ceremony and seeing the beautiful florals, cake, decor and people dressed up and mingling was great.
Remember your priorities and have fun! Weddings should be enjoyable, and of course there’s a little stress, but it’s a celebration after all.
We think for the most part everything worked out that we could have within our control. The cake was all gone by the end of the night, so maybe we could have gotten a bigger one for leftovers! It also might’ve helped if we could’ve gotten UC Davis to expand the alcohol limits as the bar was out by the evening as well.
