The dogs had to be there and that was a big part in our venue decisions. While we took many precautions, a big shout out to the them for working with us to make sure that was possible.
All of them! We loved all of them. AshtonImagery Photography and Film, Creekside Cork & Brew, Someone Said Yes, and of course the venue, The Ranch at Stoney Creek.
What made it unique was having my father officiate, our dogs a part of it, and oddly enough, messing up the same exact part of our “I Dos.” At dinner, our tables were decorated with olive tree branch, pomegranates, and various other fall fruits and vegetation. Also, we had a handmade sweetheart table at the front.
Bride: We went against tradition and spent the morning of the wedding together to get donuts at a favorite local orchard for our reception. We drove the best man’s convertible with the top down through the foothills on a beautiful fall morning and it was an exceptional way to start the day with my dashing very soon-to-be husband before the hustle and bustle of the day. Perfect moment for just the two of us to share.
Groom: Marrying her.
It’s not about perfect details, its about cherishing the moment and what the entire thing is about. Our wedding cake fell on the way up, we lost all the exterior decorations. Neither of us thought two seconds about it. White cake it is. Luckily Michelle from the venue thought to use leftover florals to decorate it upon arrival and we were set. But we were not going to let that stop us from loving our special day.
