Tell us a little about you and your beloved: We met through mutual friends years ago and quickly became best friends. After a few years we finally started dating.

He proposed to me on his family’s property overlooking Sonoma on our two year anniversary. He blind folded me and walked me out to a view point on the property. Twinkle lights strung everywhere, roses and written out in rocks “Marry me?”. It was BEAUTIFUL.

The wedding came right at the end of both of our college semesters so we left a lot of the tasks to my mother/wedding planner. She did such a beautiful job taking our ideas and making them come alive.

What was the most amazing part of your day? Do we have to pick just one thing?

What else would you like to share about your big day? I just can’t get over with how perfectly it went and how all our visions really came to life.

Ceremony and Reception Site; and Caterer: Quail Point Hunt Club

Officiant: Scott Montgomery

Cake/Desserts: We did a dessert bar full of options and a small cake to cut. It was all put together by Whole Foods Market Davis.

Flowers: Whole food Market in Davis did the flower girls flower crowns, and my bridal bouquet. We also ordered a large amount of wild flower bouquets from Whole Foods that we took apart and decorated the tables with. For the boutonniere and bridesmaid bouquets, we used Mengali’s.

And for all the buckets and pots of flowers placed around the venue we bought from Home Depot and planted ourselves the week before.

Favors: For favors we bought mini succulents for each guest and stuck custom cupcake toppers {Hearts, monograms of our last name, the word “Love” & the words Mr. & Mrs.} in the pots.

We ordered the custom toppers from Celebrated Moments off of Etsy, that we stuck in the succulents pots.

Bridal Attire: David’s Bridal. I wore Tony Llama boots from Boot Barn. Earrings and bracelet were Kate Spade. My necklace was from Tiffany & Co. It was a gift from my husband the night before the wedding.  It has our wedding date engraved in. Veil was from Ellie Lane Bridal on Etsy.

Bridesmaids’ Attire: Adrianna Papell and Windsor

Hair: Kimmie Gustafson

Make-up: Melissa Voight

Invitations: MLADesigns on Etsy

Signage: Stacey Christison made and hand painted all of our signs.

Lighting: We strung light strands all over the barn. It was beautiful.

Décor Rentals: We shopped for over a year before the wedding at garage sales, Craigslist and thrift stores. We collected & made all of our own decor. Mainly Stacey, my mom, did it.

Linen Rentals: Linens we collected from thrift stores and garage sales.

Transportation: My MOH’s mother rented a large van to drive all the bridal party home at the end of the night.

Honeymoon Location: Kauai, HI. We stayed at the Sheraton in Poipu. Beautiful!

First Dance Song: “You” by Chris Young

Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now? Don’t sweat things going wrong. Even when they do your on such a high from getting married and everything going on you don’t even realize or notice the little things or mishaps.

Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance? Do as much as possible ahead of time. Even the littlest of things like wrapping gifts.
