Tell us a little about you and your beloved: We met at a small local bar, and we were both hooked from day 1. Our mutual love for spontaneous adventure kept things progressing. 3 years later, Kyle decided it was time to tie the knot. He planned a BBQ with friends and family for his moms birthday, knowing there would be no way Brittney would suspect a proposal. Before dinner was served, he came into the house with their Lab, Dakota, and had the ring tied to her collar. As he walked in, he said to his mom, “Mom this may not be a direct present to you, but I think it is something you will like. Brittney, will you..” he didn’t even get the rest of the words out before the whole room was ecstatic. His mom was excited that she “got a daughter for her birthday.”

What was the most amazing part of your day? The week leading up to the wedding it was pouring rain, a bride’s worst fears. The whole venue was outdoors, so the ceremony and reception were to be held outside. There was not an inside alternate, so Kyle’s parents came to the rescue with renting a tent for the reception, but Kyle and I were crushed at the thought we couldn’t get married outdoors with the beautiful venue backdrop. The night of the rehearsal, we rehearsed in the tent, as it was still pouring. At this point we decided getting married by their beautiful oak tree wasn’t going to happen, but we prayed that the rain would let up so that we could be married on their lawn area. When we woke up the morning of the wedding, there were the most beautiful clouds in the sky, and the rain had stopped. We checked the weather, and it looked like we were getting a break in the storm, with just enough time to be married and then move everything into the reception under the tent. And, that is just what happened. The rain held out all day until about 20 min after the reception started. Then we had the most fun dancing in the rain, and Mariea captured the most amazing rain photos that most brides don’t get the opportunity to have. Something that started stressful turned out amazing.
