When Elyssa and Cesar met in the graphic design program at Sac State, they had no idea their creative partnership would one day extend far beyond the classroom. Fast forward to a beach proposal in Hermosa Beach and an October wedding day at The Sterling Hotel by Wedgewood Weddings, and the couple built a celebration as thoughtfully designed as anything they’d ever put their names on.
Lilac, gold, and white sand blended together in a ceremony ritual symbolizing their two lives becoming one. A year of bachata and salsa lessons culminated in a first dance guests are still talking about. And throughout the day, Mexican and Filipino traditions wove together in every detail—from the favors to the family dances—telling the story of where Elyssa and Cesar come from, and where they’re headed together.
