What made you want to model for this photo shoot?
Allyn + Anthony: We saw this opportunity as a once in a lifetime chance to create an amazing memory that we would both be able to share together, and also be able to hold on to the results of that to share with our loved ones for a lifetime. It also looked like, and was, a TON of fun!!

Tell us about your modeling experience.
Allyn + Anthony: Our experience was absolutely fantastic. The amount of respect that we took away with us, for the effort that goes into a shoot of this scale and sophistication was “the oxygen is very thin up here” …level of HIGH. This team worked so hard to help us feel comfortable, prepared, special, and informed on how to help the project succeed. As two people who have never done anything like this we felt like we had all the tools and support in the world from the best of the best. It was a very LONG day for all of us, and we also learned that modeling is a very physical and hard working occupation, but it was an INCREDIBLE day.

Did you relate to the concept/theme?
Allyn:  The concept of the shoot was a bit brighter than my personal taste. Our wedding style is a bit softer. We are doing white, blush pink and greenery so I didn’t relate to it very closely to our own wedding vibe, but I did think it was very fun and I liked it a lot more in person than I probably would have if it was described to me for a concept. It was very pretty and done really well!

What was your favorite part of the shoot?
Allyn: Aside from making amazing memories in photos with the most handsome groom ever, it was probably watching the creativity of the team come to life to create something cool in the little on the spot moments. Things like, me chewing gum to blow a bubble to make a cool shot, but flipping over to a pink balloon instead to nail the look (that also saved my jaw!). Or a simple switch from one hair style to added pony or jewels to step up the glam on the fly. The creativity of everyone was so impressive and really fun to watch and be a part of. It was also so neat to have our names written out on everything as if it was truly our day, and it felt like it was.

Anthony: Watching Allyn get her hair, makeup and dressing done by about four people at any given time was pretty cool. I felt like she was royalty and getting the treatment she deserved.

Tell us about your love story. How did you meet? What was the proposal like?
Allyn:  Anthony and I met through a group of friends and we found we had so much in common. We became great friends and bonded over some things we were able to find commonality over in life. We eventually started a relationship and it was great to have the backbone of friendship. Our proposal was very simple. It was at home in our little place where we talked and got to know each other. It was perfect.

Tell us about your wedding day.
Allyn:  Our wedding is taking place at Saureel Vineyards. It will be an outdoor ceremony and the reception will be in a barn space. There is a big lake on the property and gorgeous scenery. We are doing BBQ and keeping the decor more of a country casual chic. We just want a low stress event where friends and family can come join us to celebrate the start of our marriage!

If you could offer any advice to engaged couples, what would it be?
Allyn: Don’t sweat the small stuff! Weddings are a lot to plan and emotions can run high, but, at the end of the day, this should be a time to celebrate your union with friends and family and not to worry too much about what can or will miss perfection. Also, spend as much personal time with your photographers/videographers as you can, as it is just one day, and at the end of it the pictures and video are what you will have to look back on And, don’t forget to have fun!
