Modern Love: A Real Weddings Inspiration Styled Shoot at Gladding Farms

Today’s sneak peek is all about “Modern Love,” a striking styled shoot at Gladding Farms brought to life by Emily Klein of Barnswallow and a talented team of local creatives. Bold, fresh and full of unexpected details, this design proves that wedding inspiration doesn’t have to play it safe to feel timeless.

We asked Emily what sparked the vision behind the shoot, and her answer was every bit as inspired as the design itself:

“When I design and coordinate a styled shoot, my goal is always to push boundaries and introduce an edgy aesthetic that departs from the expected.

I want to inspire couples to step outside their comfort zone and embrace a look that feels uniquely ‘them,’ rather than settling for what is safe or trendy.

For this shoot, my creative spark was a set of blue marble table linens. They were so bold that I initially thought, ‘I can’t imagine a couple choosing these!’ and that was exactly the challenge I wanted to tackle.

By mixing modern and vintage elements with unexpected textures, I created a cohesive design that respected the venue’s character while feeling entirely fresh.

This project was a joy to design, and I am so grateful to the incredible team of vendors who helped bring this vision to life.”
