We have always wanted to do a shoot with just cakes, and we made it happen with this issue. When we pitched the idea to our cake design partners, they enthusiastically said, “Yes!” We wanted the cake designers to be creative, but to also work within these guidelines: the base of each cake had to be white (ish), and they needed to work within the Pantone 2018 Color Trends TECH-nique color palette. We think they knocked it out of the park! The best part for us: we got to go home with some slices of cake! So for us, we finally got to have our cake (shoot) and eat it too! Sorry, we simply couldn’t resist.
