Tell us a little about your company? We are a husband and wife team and we go above and beyond to make your wedding day relaxed and smooth while capturing moments of joy and excitement.
When did you establish your business? 2010
What sets you apart from your competition? I have a very fast turnaround time and I make my clients feel very comfortable in front of the camera so I am able to capture real emotion through my lens.
Where do you find inspiration? Hmmmm…everywhere! I love textures and colors that inspire me. Not Pinterest though.
What trend do you see coming for weddings this year? Lifestyle photos that capture essence and emotion. I also think simple and classy themed wedding with a lot of DIY décor.
Do you regularly blog? If so, what’s your blog site? Not as regular as I would like, but I do blog HERE.
Are you on social media? Yes, you can follow me on Facebook HERE and Pinterest HERE.
What’s your favorite comment/compliment that one of your clients has given you? I had a client/groom once tell me that I made the portrait sessions seem so easy and even though it was a 2 hour engagement session they told me it went by very fast. He also told me I made him feel comfortable and that helped with getting some great shots of him.
What’s your favorite local restaurant? Mikuni
What’s your favorite local charity? Mercy Ministries
What is your favorite fun thing to do locally? 5K’s or farmers markets
Do you have secret vice or indulgence? What is it? Yes, I do Anthropology.
If you were to plan your own wedding, or re-do your wedding, what elements would be most important to you? Photography, of course! I also think ambiance is so important, making sure that all little details like flowers, candles and lighting can create an atmosphere very enjoyable and romantic.
What advice would you can give to brides and grooms getting married today? I would plan your ceremony time and location around the time of day for the best lighting, this isn’t something a bride or groom typically thinks about. They might have a lot of Pinterest photos that show a sunset ceremony with glowing light and yet they plan their wedding at high noon with the light shining in one or both faces.
It is so very important to look at all these things when planning your wedding. I also would make sure that all your guests have plenty of food and drink during the portrait session or in between the ceremony and reception. And, in the end remember that you’re are marrying your best friend this is all that matters, things might go wrong but this won’t!
Anything else you’d like to share with Real Weddings Magazine’s brides? I would love to meet with you over a cup of coffee or tea…my treat to get to know you better. I am booking already for 2015, so please call me to schedule a time to meet. I can show you my amazing wedding album that I included in both my 8 and 10 hour collections. My weddings start at $1,500.00. I can’t wait to meet you and we would love to be apart of your special day.
