Thanks to Mike Jensen at Jensen Films – Wedding and Event Cinematography for sharing this great wedding story with us!

Mike was hired recently to film a wedding at the LDS Temple in Sacramento. The bride and groom and all their family gathered at the temple to begin the ceremony when, uh-oh, they realized they had forgotten the marriage license…in Fresno. The couples’ parents had recently moved all their belongings, including the license, down south where they would soon go to school.

So, what are a bride and groom to do in a sticky situation? You go on with the party! The couple asked everyone to move on to the reception next door and celebrate regardless.

Thankfully, a few friends from Fresno were gracious enough to race back up to Sacramento with the license and the ceremony did happen, at the end of the reception.

According to Mike, “In over 1000 weddings, I’ve never seen it!”
