Tell us a little about you and your beloved.
We met when I (Becca) chose an empty seat next to Sully at a restaurant bar. I was meeting girlfriends for an early Valentine’s Day girls night and at first Sully wanted very little to do with me… Somehow, I won him over and by the end of the night [and] we had a first date planned three days later! The rest is history!
What was the best part of your wedding day?
Our first look will always be one of my favorite moments. My husband isn’t an emotional or expressive person and I loved how emotional he was when he first saw me!
What advice would you give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now?
Do what feels right for you! Don’t be afraid to break tradition if it’s what your gut is telling you to do. It’s YOUR (and your partner’s) day. Also, be prepared for speed bumps. Not everything can be 100% perfect, 100% of the time and that’s okay! No one will know if you don’t react. Our first dance song started and I immediately knew it was the wrong version. It was something that in planning I thought was a big deal to me, but in the moment I let it go and no one knew any better!
Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance?
I might not have planned and executed the entire thing by myself (LOL)!
