Tell us a little about you and your beloved.

We are both bartenders, so to no surprise we met at a bar. The proposal was something that was a complete shock to everyone (bride included). Not because I didn’t want to marry Paul, but just because not a single person knew about it. He did it in front of some of our closest friends and shocked the entire group. Tears, screams, a lot of “are you serious?!”. I wouldn’t have had it any other way though, it was so special to be so surprised. Wedding planning was honestly so much fun! I used to dream of being a wedding planner, so I knew this was going to be so fun. Getting married in a small town makes it a bit easier (I imagine), and also just the people I had met along the way to make the day what it was was so amazing. I would plan another wedding in a heartbeat and do it all over.

What was the best part of your wedding day?

My most favorite part of our day was our first look. If it weren’t for Emma I probably wouldn’t have done one just because I didn’t really know how special those moments really are. The day is so crazy so having those minutes just to ourselves was my favorite.

What else would you like to share about your big day?

I don’t mean to sound biased but our dance floor was electric. We also had an epic after party. But honestly the fact that that’s probably the one time in your life [where] all those people will be together, [plus] they all got along and everyone had such a great time. It was truly so special.

What advice would you give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now?

Have fun with it! You think all the little details will make or break your day but all you can do is hope they all come together. If something goes wrong it’s not the end of the world. We didn’t have napkins on the day of, so we scrambled and guess what?  Nobody cared that they were paper napkins. Just gotta go with the flow and know that everything will always work itself out!

Anything that you would have done different if given the chance?

Honestly, no. I loved everything about our day!
