Tell us a little about you and your beloved.

Aaron and I met in law school at UCLA and bonded over a mutual love of lawn games, arguing, and drinking beers outside. After three years in L.A., we moved to Denver where we found our real passion in life– our dog, Harvey. Aaron proposed on a surprise trip to California wine country with my family and seven of our closest friends. Even with a pandemic postponement, wedding planning was a breeze. Our wedding planner handled all of the logistics, so we got to focus on the things that mattered to us –food, drinks, and music. We wanted our wedding weekend to feel like one big party, and that is exactly what we got.

What was the best part of your wedding day?

After a year of quarantining, it was wonderful to be able to gather all of the people we loved most in one place. Seeing loved ones from all walks of our lives laughing and dancing together was a blast.

What else would you like to share about your big day?

We spent three days on the property where we got married, and 50 of our best friends stayed on-site with us. Weddings are crazy, and there are a ton of people to see and talk to. Having those extra two days to spend with friends and family gave us time to actually relax and catch up with everyone who made the trip out there.

What advice would you give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now?

Figure out the two or three things that actually matter to you, and let the rest go. The whole point of the day is to celebrate and have fun–don’t waste time stressing about things that are ultimately not that important to you. If you can, get a wedding planner that you trust! I am incredibly grateful that I got to enjoy my day without worrying about anything going on around me. I knew that everything was taken care of and even if something did come up, I had someone there to handle it for me.
