Tell us a little about you and your beloved: They say that proximity is one of the top reasons couples get together and it sure was for us! We went to middle, high school and college together, although we didn’t meet until college. We were always around each other without ever crossing paths. We had a class together in high school but we obviously weren’t meant to meet until a few years later.
We share a similar disposition and a genuine joy for life. If we ain’t laughin’, we ain’t livin’! We fell in love with each other pretty quickly, and knew that we found our other halves in each other.
What was the most amazing part of your day: Well, other than being announced husband and wife that day, we also loved sealing the deal with kicking a soccer ball into a mini soccer net, a sport that we both truly love and still play to this day. To top it all off, sharing the union of our love with all of our family and close friends in the same room was more than we can describe in words — it was an emotional day.
What else would you like to share about your day: It went way too fast. We felt like we blinked and it was over. With that being said, it was still a magical day.

Any other favorite vendors: We absolutely loved our DJs and Videographers! We would recommend them to anyone. We couldn’t have picked a better venue. The staff at Grand Island Mansion knew what they were doing and they catered to our every need. They also allowed us to turn their espresso bar into an ice cream sundae bar, which was awesome for kids and adults.
Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now?: Brides, try not to be a bride-zilla and keep stress free as much as possible so that people will be willing to deal with you. Try and focus on what matters the most to you at your wedding and put the most effort into making that right. Don’t stress over the little things that won’t be as big of a deal to you. In the end, no matter what goes wrong, you and your significant other will still be getting married and nothing else matters. No matter how busy the day gets, try to slow down and take it in because it will be over in a flash.
Anything you would have done differently if you were given the chance: Our wedding could not have gone more perfectly. We were very lucky that everything went very smoothly and that we didn’t have to worry about a thing the day of the wedding. All we had to focus on was each other the day of…and that meant the world to us.
