Here to inspire you, it’s Real Weddings Wednesdays! Today, we present Alisa & Chris!
Tell us a little about you and your beloved: Chris and I met at our first job out of college. There was a group of us that all started around the same time who became friends and that’s how we got to know each other. We dated for four and a half years before he proposed to me on Waikiki Beach, one of our favorite vacation spots. I knew that I wanted an outdoor wedding so it was pretty easy to narrow down locations to check out, and being big fans of Hawaii, we made it more of a tropical feel. 364 days later and we tied the knot!
What was the most amazing part of your day? We decided to do a first look before the ceremony and so glad we did. We got all the jitters out and got to have a moment to ourselves and were able to enjoy the entire ceremony more this way. We also wrote our own vows so that was pretty special to present to one another.
What else would you like to share about your big day? The food was amazing and we even had churros as a late night dessert. I was nervous in the morning, but my groomsmen got me through the early part of the day. My wife’s dress was stunning and she looked absolutely beautiful when I saw her walking down that aisle.

Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now? Find vendors that do multiple things! We worked with just a handful of vendors that offered multiple services, it saved so much time when planning out events for the evening and not having to tell 10 different people all the details and timelines. Also super easy when you’re doing last minute check-ins, payments, etc.
