Tell us a little about you and your beloved: My husband is better at telling the story, because he knew we would be together before I did. I was a medic in the army, in processing soldiers to our unit, and my now husband, while in processing, came to introduce himself. I barely gave him the time of day, but he said he knew from that moment that we would be together. It would be a couple of months before we would cross paths again; we were over at a mutual friends and starting talking and the next day we went out hiking. He told me he thought I was taking him out to the middle of nowhere because he had misjudged me and perhaps I was a serial killer. I still laugh at the thought of him thinking all 4’10” of me was capable of being a serial killer. We had so much fun, talking and hiking and getting to know each other. Once we became friends we were inseparable, and I think this is part of what makes our relationship so strong; my husband is literally my best friend, and eight years later, married and living in Hawaii, my husband is still my best friend!

What was the most amazing part of your day? The best part of the day was getting to stand in front of both of our families with all of the most important people in our lives and vow to love and cherish each other for the rest of our lives. I didn’t even know the crowd was crying, or even paying attention for that matter, until we got our pictures back, we were so lost in the moment together and it felt amazing.

What else would you like to share about your big day? I loved every moment of the day from getting ready, the ceremony, pictures, the food, dancing, the whole night felt like it went by so fast though. I felt like before I could finish taking it all in from one moment we were on the next; nothing was ever rushed I just think you want to remember every detail and there are so many details to remember.

The venue was absolutely gorgeous and the Tannenbaum’s, Julie and Claire, ensured that everything was set up as agreed upon. Our DJ made sure our music was just right for the moment every step of the evening, Jackie Phillips, our wedding officiant, helped us to get our vows and ceremony just right for our particular taste. Our dinner was phenomenal, I wish I could have eaten more, and I felt the same way about our cake it was just delicious! I truly could not have had better people helping to make our wedding day amazing, and Justin Buettner Photography photographed our day expertly and I can’t thank him enough for capturing the memories we will cherish forever.
