Why did you enter this contest?
I saw this contest online and was so excited to potentially be in a magazine. I have always wanted to experience modeling but never went for it. I was so excited to be able to be a part of this experience.
What did your partner think about you entering this contest? What was their reaction when you were selected? What was your reaction when you were selected?
My fiancé was super excited when I told him. I had mentioned I was going to submit but neither of us thought anything of it until I got selected. I was shocked to be honest, but so excited. He was so excited for me as well.
Tell us about your cover model experience. What was your favorite part of the day? How did you feel afterwards?
The experience was long but so fun. I loved getting my makeup and hair done all day like a princess. I was impressed by how many looks we accomplished as a team in a day.
Tell us about your love story. How did you meet? What was the proposal like?
We met in high school and have been dating since we were 16 years old. We are now 29 and are finally getting married. To say we are excited is an understatement. He proposed when we were in Yosemite under Bridal Veil Falls and it will now forever hold a special place in my heart.
Tell us about your wedding day.
Our wedding day is May 23, 2020 and it will be outside at a barn in El Dorado Hills. After the ceremony, we plan to have a huge dance party with lots of food!
If you could offer any advice to engaged couples what would it be?
Try to enjoy the process. I am currently still in planning mode and it can easily get overwhelming. But I am choosing to take it step by step and reminding myself that this only happens once so enjoy it. It will be worth it on the wedding day!
