Vierra Farms Weddings and Events
Tell us a little about your company? We are a farm first. We farm over 600 acres of land and sell direct wholesale to local grocery stores like Raleys, Bel Air and Nuggest Markets. We also have the largest Pumpkin Patch in the Sacramento area and service over 25,000 people a year during the harvest season.
When did you establish your business? We have been in the agrit-tourism business for 25 years. We are not new to agri-entertainment, but we are new to holding weddings on our farm. We started offering weddings last year.
What sets you apart from your competition? Location! We are 10 miles south of downtown Sacramento. We also are the only farm that specializes in rustic/vintage décor. In addition, we have our own on-site caterer who provides farm-fresh in season menus that are created with food directly from our farm.
Where do you find inspiration? Pinterest, of course! You can follow us on Pinterest here!
What trend do you see coming for weddings this year? I believe people want a more family intimate type of wedding with mix matched seating and direct from table serve yourself dining. With Sacramento becoming the home of farm to fork; I see a big move in the demand for farm to fork menu selections. We are also seeing a lot of whimsical vintage picnic-stylized requests as well as carnival type weddings…very fun and creative!
Are you on social media? Yes! You can follow us on Facebook here, Twitter here and Pinterest here.
What’s your favorite comment/compliment that one of your clients has given you? We get compliments all the time saying that we have done an amazing job on the design of our bridal room and parlor.
What is your favorite fun thing to do locally? I enjoy spending time with my family going anywhere. If I were to do my own thing; I love the monthly antique fair in Sacramento.
Do you have secret vice or indulgence? What is it? None! I’m not a secretive person…I usually don’t hold anyting back!
If you weren’t in the business that you are in now, what other business/profession would you have liked to have done? I would have my own boutique and be restoring furniture!
If you were to plan your own wedding, or re-do your wedding, what element(s) would be most important to you? I wouldn’t have changed a thing!
What advice would you can give to brides and grooms getting married today? Don’t focus on impressing others…do what YOU want, and go BIG!
